Project Description

BREEAM/CfSH Assessments | North West

We provided a Suitably Qualified Ecologist (SQE) to help achieve the allocation of BREEAM Ecology Credits for a large industrial development on a former brownfield site. This included consultations with the local planning authority, advising on mitigation measures landscape planting and ongoing site management, including selecting a variety of native species appropriate to the location and soil conditions.

We also undertook the Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) ecology assessment for a housing development with a proposed community allotment and play area. Working alongside the developer and the Council, this involved completing pre-construction and post-construction surveys and providing advice and recommendations on suitable mitigation and enhancement measures. We ensured that the developer was able to meet the criteria for as many credits as realistically achievable, alongside providing overall enhancements for biodiversity.
