BSc (Hons) | Ecologist

Kieran has extensive surveying experience having previously worked in several research, conservation and ecological consultancy roles where he studied a diverse range of species in the Bornean rainforest, Welsh uplands and the Antarctic. As an Ecologist, he has developed a variety of protected species survey skills and maintains a keen interest in mammals. Kieran carries out a wide range of filed surveys including great crested newt, eDNA, bat surveys and carries out work as an ecological clerk of works. He continues to develop his ecology skills through a part-time masters degree at MMU studying biological recording and ecological monitoring. He has conducted a self-designed study that focuses on bat activity between urban and rural habitats. His collective field experience has given him key skills in species identification and a broad understanding of ecology.
