For the private sector, we work directly with developers and also through planning consultancies.  Our clients come from a range of industries including property development, renewables, minerals and aggregates and utilities, many of whom are distinguished developers in the UK.

In the public sector, our clients include local planning authorities to whom we provide technical expertise for their own developments such as major road schemes, and as the Competent Authority, technical advice and documentation to inform a Habitats Regulations Assessment.

We work with a wide range of housing and commercial developers, either directly or as part of a technical team. Our services include detailed assessments and surveys, designed to minimise timeframes and costs whilst integrating with the project design and schedule.
With the senior management team having previously worked for global engineering consultancies, we have a great understanding of the complexities of major infrastructure projects. This has enabled us to successfully secure substantial road and rail projects.
We are leaders and have a national reputation in the wind energy sector. Our national portfolio includes large and small-scale wind sites; working with major wind developers in the UK. We undertake initial scoping surveys through to post-construction monitoring surveys and have advised and/or written numerous Habitats Regulations Assessments for wind energy developments.
We are leaders and have a national reputation within the large scale ground mounted solar PV industry as solutions providers; our in depth knowledge of the industry enables us to design cost effective innovative strategies in order to maximise capacity and minimise delays. We have strong relationships with some of the UK’s largest solar investors and developers and have provided our expertise to over 270 sites across the UK. Provision of ecological advice for large scale rooftop solar installations is also becoming a bigger part of our work as the growth in this industry takes off.
The growth of the bio-energy and hydro industries has inevitably provided a work stream for us; working mainly with industrial and agricultural installations, for planning consultancies and developers and landowners directly we provide the full suite of ecological services, tailored to suit the requirements of each individual site.
We prepare bespoke management and restoration plans for working and closed quarries and mineral extraction facilities. These are designed to complement other objectives, such as current business operations and for closed sites, long-term landscape designs, as part of an integrated and cost-effective approach.
We provide a range of services for the utilities industry. Each commission is tailored to suite the requirements of the project whether it is permitted development or requires planning permission. Surveys, desk studies, site supervision and post-construction checks are undertaken by ecologists who are experienced and understand the health and safety implications of working at operational water/ wastewater treatment works
We provide cost-effective and technically excellent support for public sector bodies. Our services include the provision of technical documents to ensure planning and legislative compliance (such as Habitats Regulations Assessments), and bespoke field survey and site assessments to inform infrastructure projects and assist with the designation of statutory sites.
